BeejRewards ("we," "our," or "us") provides a mobile application that allows users to participate in loyalty programs with local businesses and allows vendors to manage their customer rewards. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information through the app.

Information We Collect

Account Information: We collect basic details when you register, including name, email address, and password. Vendors may be required to provide business license details and, after any free membership period, an Employer Identification Number (EIN) for verification.

Location Data: The app may request approximate location to show nearby participating vendors. Location sharing is optional and can be managed in device settings.

Stamps & Rewards Data: We track digital stamps, rewards progress, and redemption activity tied to your account.

Notifications: We store and display messages sent by vendors you follow. Notifications are temporary and automatically expire after approximately six (6) hours.

QR Codes: Each registered user has a unique QR code stored in their profile, which vendors may scan to update stamps and rewards.

Device Data: We may collect technical information such as device type, operating system, and app usage for diagnostics and analytics.

How We Use Information

We use your information to provide app features, authenticate your account, show nearby vendors, display loyalty activity, deliver notifications, and improve app performance. Vendors use the portal to manage loyalty details and communicate with users.

Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time directly in the app from the profile view. Deletion removes your personal account data from our active systems within a reasonable timeframe, although limited backup or legal copies may remain as required by law.

How We Share Information

Vendors: When you interact with a vendor (e.g., earn stamps, receive notifications), that vendor may access your account identifier, QR code, and stamp/reward status.

Service Providers: We share data with service providers who assist with hosting, analytics, and security.

Legal & Safety: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or to protect rights, property, or safety.

Children's Privacy

You must be 18 years or older to create an account. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18. If we become aware a minor has registered, we will delete the account.

Data Retention

Stamp and reward history is retained while your account is active. Notifications are designed to expire within six (6) hours. Account data is deleted upon request or when an account is closed, subject to backup and legal requirements.

Security

We implement safeguards to protect your information but cannot guarantee absolute security due to the nature of online systems.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The effective date at the top will reflect the latest version.
